Mod Towels from Target

I love these "All That Jazz" cotton towels from Target.com. A set of three (bath, hand and washcloth) is $24.99 with free shipping.  These were the only mid-century modern towels I found in lots of looking. Most towels out there lately are solid colors and just not my style.

Cotton Bermuda-Length Shorts

These OP brand shorts, from Wal-Mart, were $16 and are perfect for summer! I got them in two colors, this color and cocoa.

Nobo Cotton Top at Wal-Mart for $10

I plan to wear this tucked in or belted. It's really cute.

Viscose Scarf from Charlotte Russe

I bought this olive and metallic viscose scarf at Charlotte Russe for $8.99 because it looks nice with the Target mock-leather cross-body bag and my olive complexion.

Forever 21 Royal Blue Patent Cinch Belt

This mock patent leather and elastic cinch belt is high style at a very low price. This was $3.50 at Forever 21 and is the exact same color as the royal blue cotton top and skirt I found at Wal-Mart (see posts below). This comes in several other colors as well.

Mock Leather Cross-Body Mossimo Handbag

Fashion snobs might turn their noses up at a handbag made from mock leather. But people in the know will applaud that no animals were harmed to make this adorable handbag. I love cross-body bags because they free up our hands for shopping. This one is a perfect size to wear to the organic farm stand. It accommodates a thick wallet, a makeup case, keys, a pen, a cell phone and sunglasses and was a mere $19.99 at Target.

Magenta Cotton OP Casual Summer Blouse

This true keyhole-front OP brand blouse ($12 at Wal-Mart) is very flattering on, as it blouses over the elastic bottom. The keyhole is secured with a matching pearlized button, and there's an adorable muffler-type kangaroo pouch at the bottom in case you want some place to put your hands!

Rayon Scarf and LEI Cotton Summer Skirt

Two scores from Wal-Mart: a $5 chartreuse rayon scarf with tiny iridescent sequins, and a royal blue tiered cotton LEI summer skirt ($14)

Rear View of LEI Cotton Pin Dot Summer Blouse

Here's the rear view of the LEI cotton summer blouse. (I stuck a magazine into the blouse so it would be easy to see the slit.) You can see that what they call a "keyhole" back is actually a slit that goes from the elastic neckline halfway down the back. What's with that?!

LEI Cotton Pin Dot Casual Summer Blouse

This was only $10 in Wal-Mart. It comes in many colors. I loved the royal blue, the white and the yellow.

The only problem is that although it's described as having a keyhole back, the back actually has a slit that goes from just under the elastic shirred neckline to mid-back, thus revealing any bra the woman is wearing. (See our next post for a picture of the back of the blouse.) We tried to contact LEI to ask why they created such a strange style. But we weren't able to get to their designer or president. Can you help us get to the bottom of this design mystery?

Here's the front of the blouse, along with another Style Find, a $5.99 glass bead necklace from Charlotte Russe.
